Teachers do the learning

One of the cool devices seen at the conference
At the 8th National Interactive Teaching and Learning Conference, attended by Mrs Jones and Mr McLellan, on Friday and Saturday 12th & 13TH August they learned, through presentations, hands-on workshops, collaboration and networking, discussions panels, and vendor sessions, which covered topics such as how to use digital technology to support interactive teaching and learning.

Topics covered at the conference were;

  • New  software perfectly suited for use on an IWB
  • Peripheral technology adding value to teaching and learning
  • The educational benefits of Student Response Systems
  • Incorporating digital literacy into your teaching program
  • Cloud computing for interactive learning
  • Narrowing the gap for under-achieving and low-achieving learners
  • Emerging interactive technologies
 It provided the opportunity for them to develop networking with other teachers across Australia and New Zealand.  They had the opportunity to share their knowledge and skills and returned full of enthusiasm with new ideas to enhance students’ learning.
